The Parish Priest, Rev Father Paul Ighabor, is planning a “Group Wedding” for couples (men and women) who have been living together but are not wedded couples in the Catholic Church.
The Marriage Course preparatory to this wedding will include Refresher Instructions on the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation, all of which will be based on each individual’s sacramental status in the Catholic Church. This programme is to ensure that the affected persons understand the teachings of our faith and the church when they receive Holy Communion and other sacraments. Kindly note that the Parish will bear all related costs inclusive of the Reception after the wedding ceremony. This gesture is to ensure that all the unwedded couples in the Parish take advantage of this opportunity to validate their marriages and fully participate in the sacraments for the salvation of their souls. Parishioners who are interested should please register with the Parish Secretary on work days of the week or meet the Associate Priest Rev Father Gordian Opara after every Mass on Sundays. Interested parishioners have between now and the end of March, 2017 to register for group wedding.
